What’s the big deal about these little sea creatures?

For one, they’re known by fishermen as “Alaskan Lobster”. These delicious prawns are meaty like lobster, with a buttery texture and sweet flavor. Prepare them any way you like to eat shrimp - grilled, sauteed, etc.

Our spot prawns are jeweled with vibrant, red-orange roe. This could be intimidating if you haven’t worked with roe before, but it’s a delicacy and quite the treat. Prawn roe can be a great way to take any dish to the next level! You can also just cook the roe along with the shrimp and enjoy the added richness and flavor. Roe is a superfood - it also adds a superb dose of omegas and extra protein.

There are lots of ways to prepare roe, here are a few of our favorites

You can actually eat the roe raw like caviar! Because all our seafood is flash frozen right off the dock, the prawns - and the roe - are sashimi quality. Simply scoop out the roe and place it to the side until you’re ready to enjoy. Once your meal has been prepared, roe makes an eye-catching topping that will elevate any dish.

Add roe to any creamy sauce for a luscious chowder, risotto or grits. Anyone else getting hungry? You can also make an amazing compound butter with this decadent prawn caviar.

If you save the shells of the prawns, keep the roe attached and create possibly the tastiest fish stock around.
